New Flatbed Trailers
Open-deck trailers for lumber, hay, pallets, pipe and oversized loads.
When a load is long, wide or awkward, a flatbed is usually the answer. With no sides in the way, you can load from any direction with a forklift, tractor or loader, and strap down everything from lumber and steel pipe to hay bales, pallets of pavers and fence panels. Ranchers in south Utah County, builders working new subdivisions and businesses moving materials between job sites all lean on flatbeds for everyday hauling.
New flatbeds come in bumper-pull and gooseneck setups, with deck-over designs for full-width loading or between-the-fender decks for a lower load height. Pay attention to deck length, axle ratings, stake pockets and rub rails for tie-downs, and whether you want ramps or a dovetail for rolling cargo. Matching the trailer to your truck and typical loads keeps hauling safe and simple. Give us a call at (435) 776-6528 or visit us in Salem to talk through options.

Frequently asked questions
Gooseneck or bumper pull: which flatbed should I get?
Bumper-pull flatbeds work with a standard receiver hitch and suit lighter or occasional loads. Goosenecks need a bed-mounted hitch but handle heavier loads with better stability and tighter turning.
How much tongue weight should a flatbed have?
For a bumper-pull trailer, a common guideline is about 10 to 15 percent of the loaded trailer weight on the tongue. Too little can cause sway, and too much can overload your hitch or rear axle.
How should I secure a load on a flatbed?
Use rated straps or chains with a working load limit suited to the cargo, and add more tie-downs for longer items. Recheck tension after the first few miles, since loads tend to settle.
Can I trade in my current trailer toward a new flatbed?
