New Dump Trailers
Hydraulic dump trailers for gravel, dirt, green waste and demolition debris.
A dump trailer earns its keep the first time you unload a few tons of gravel in seconds instead of an afternoon with a shovel. Contractors, landscapers and property owners around Utah County use them for hauling road base, topsoil, mulch, demolition debris and green waste, then tipping the load exactly where it needs to go. A hydraulic lift, sturdy steel bed and rear gate that swings or spreads give you a tool that pays for itself in saved labor.
Choosing the right new dump trailer starts with what you haul and what you tow with. Dense materials like rock and wet soil fill weight capacity long before they fill the bed, so GVWR and axle ratings matter more than box size alone. Think about side height, gate style, ramps for a skid steer, and whether your truck can handle the loaded weight safely. Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between GVWR and payload on a dump trailer?
GVWR is the maximum the trailer can weigh fully loaded, including its own weight. Payload is GVWR minus the empty trailer weight, and that is the number that tells you how much material you can actually haul.
Does a dump trailer need brakes?
Most dump trailers are heavy enough that trailer brakes are required and strongly recommended. Brake requirements depend on trailer weight, so check current Utah DMV rules and make sure your tow vehicle has a working brake controller.
Can I tow a dump trailer with a half-ton pickup?
Sometimes, for smaller trailers and lighter loads, but a loaded dump trailer adds up fast. Compare your truck's rated towing capacity and payload to the trailer's GVWR and expected tongue weight before you commit.
